Kostelgrad is a medieval fortress located to the north of Pregrada, on a strategic position which enabled controlling of roads from different sides. It was built on a rock. The history of the Kostel estates can be traced back to the arrival of the Counts of Celje, and the most famous owners were the Keglević family. At its foot there is a very valuable architectural and urban complex that consists of St. Emeric Church, Chapel of the Suffering Jesus, the rectory, some farm buildings with wells and a historical cemetery.
